The hotel was generally comfortable, but several issues made the stay disappointing. When I arrived, I disinfected the bathroom with Lysol as I normally do for precaution, and I found that the toilet was visibly dirty inside. The shower also had human hair in several areas, so I had to clean it myself. The room had clearly not been prepared to the standard expected for a new guest. The curtain was also partially out of place, suggesting that small maintenance details had been overlooked, and the air conditioning was not operating at full capacity. The hotel does not provide even a complimentary bottle of water in the refrigerator. Breakfast costs extra, and if you only want coffee, you must purchase and drink it separately at the bar. The parking lot has security cameras but is open and not enclosed, which guests should know. The most uncomfortable part occurred at the Bluestone Grille. I entered only to ask about purchasing coffee because no one was at the front. An employee rudely ordered me to leave in front of other guests and would not allow me to explain that I have a medical condition and must remain accompanied by my trained service dog. We originally booked this hotel through a third party, and the third party did not connect to the hotel directly. We walked into the doors of the hotel tired, frustrated, and overstimulated. The staff however, met us with great hospitality. In particular, the manager Ms. Adrienne McFarlane was especially gracious. She accomodated us with a room, and gave us complimentary services. She truly embodied the kindness and attentiveness of the entire hotel. The rooms were clean, the food was great, the prices were affordable, and the staff was amazing. We will definitely be staying there again.

This was my second time staying at this location. Nothing significant to report. I booked the Queen Suite. The room had some great upgrades, and everything worked just fine. Some of the furniture displayed signs of wear, but such is to be expected. I only had brief interactions with the staff, but each time was pleasant and they were patient and accommodating to all my questions. The food at the in-house restaurant was good. I was skeptical of BBQ at a hotel restaurant, but the chicken plate was quite tasty. However, if you'd prefer less expensive options, the surrounding area has some great options within a few miles. Brier Creek (i.e., Raleigh) is an easy 20 min drive that offers shopping and other restaurant choices. The later, noon, checkout was great and aligned with my travel plans nearly perfectly. I'll definitely keep this location in mind whenever I have an overnight stay in Raleigh-Durham.
